Draw a picture of the wall. Note that since the arrangement on the wall is symmetrical, you really only need a picture of half of the wall.

To find how far from the wall the nail closest to the wall will be....

(1) start at the middle of the wall;
(2) move towards the wall a distance equal to half the distance between the two pictures;
(3) move farther towards the wall the width of each picture; and
(4) move AWAY from the wall half the difference between the width of the picture and the distance between the two nails for each picture (if you have drawn the picture correctly, that should make sense).

The calculations (ugly fractions that will need common denominators)...

(1) half of 63 1/2...
(2) minus half of 10 2/5...
(3) minus 15 1/3...
(4) plus half of (15 1/3 - 10 2/5)
