You can put this solution on YOUR website!

the x-intercept is the value of x when y+=+0(do it always, for linear, quadratic, or other exponential equations); so you need to set y to 0 and solve for x
example:
3x+%2B+y+=+6………..if y=0, then x will be:
3x+%2B+0+=+6
3x+=+6
x=6%2F3
x+=+2
Now we know that the point (2,0) is x-intercept.

I am not the same person who answered you before but am a grade 9 Acadamic student and have done this stuff a while ago.

you are given two numbers in a line like this
3x-2y=9
so you put 0 in place of 2y and divide by 3 to both sides 3 nd 9 like this
3x/3-0=9/3
simplify nad your x intercept is
3
hope that helps
good luck with your HMWK
