SOLUTION: "The gradient of the line joining (4, q) to (6, 5) is twice the gradient of the line joining (0, 0) to (4, q). Find q." Why is the equation for this answer (q-5)/(4-6) = 2(q/4)

Question 1166858: "The gradient of the line joining (4, q) to (6, 5) is twice the gradient of the line joining (0, 0) to (4, q). Find q."
Why is the equation for this answer (q-5)/(4-6) = 2(q/4) and not (5-q)/(6-4) = 2(q/4) ? I don't understand.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

For your info

    (q-5)/(4-6) = (5-q)/(6-4).

Therefore, the two writings are EQUIVALENT.
