.

To find a vertex, use the standard formula for its x-coordinate

    x = -b%2F%282a%29,

where "a" is the coefficient at x^2 and B is the coefficient at x.

In your case,  a = 2, b = 14,  so  x = -14%2F%282%2A2%29 = -7%2F2 = -3.5.

To find y-coordinate of the vertex, calculate the function value at x= 3.5.

Happy calculations !
