x dimes and (60-x) nickels give us THIS money equation

    10x + 5*(60-x) = 430  cents.

Simplify and find x

    10x + 300 - 5x = 430

     5x            = 430 - 300

     5x            = 130

      x            = 130/5 = 26.

ANSWER.  26 dimes and 60-26 = 34 nickels.

Solved.
