You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Instead of doing your problem for you, I'll do one exactly like it.
I'll do this one instead

8%5E%283x%29=73

By the definition of logarithm:

3x=log%288%2C%2873%29%29

By the change of base formula,

3x=log%28%2873%29%29%2Flog%28%288%29%29

3x=1.86332286%2F0.903089987

3x=2.063274853

x=2.063274853%2F3

x=0.6877582843

Now do your problem the same way.

A better direction might be what is expected but,

log%283%2C%28%283%5E2%29%5E%282y%29%29%29=log%283%2C3%29%2Blog%283%2C22%29
log%283%2C3%5E%284y%29%29=log%283%2C3%29%2Blog%283%2C22%29
4y=1%2Blog%283%2C22%29
y=%281%2Blog%283%2C22%29%29%2F4------------and then this is where you could apply the change of base formula.
