Find the length of the leg of this right triangle. Give an approximation to 3 decimal places. a^2+22^2=24^2
solution
a^2+22^2=24^2
a^2=24^2-22^2
a^2=(24-22)(24+22)
a^2=2x46=2x2x23
a=2square root 23
a=2x4.795
a=9.95
