Question 116637: What is the rule for finding percentages?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Percent means "over 100".
-----------------
If you want to change a number to Percent,
multiply the numerator and denominator so the
denominator becomes 100:
Example:
8 = (8*100)/(1*100) = 800%
0.23 = (0.23*100)/(100) = 23/100 = 23%
2/3 = 2(100/3)/3(100/3) = (200/3)/100 = (200/3)% = 66.6%
----------------
Cheers,
Stan H.
