Question 1165999: Given the conditional "If it's on the Internet, then it's gotta be true." (Ken Jennings), write the converse
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20065) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Original conditional:
"If it's on the Internet, then it's gotta be true."
Converse:
"If it's gotta be true, then it's on the Internet." <--ANSWER
Inverse:
"If it's not on the Internet, then it's not gotta be true."
Contrapositive:
"If it's not gotta be true, then it's not on the Internet."
---------------------------------------------------------
The contrapositive is equivalent to the original conditional.
The converse and inverse are equivalent.
[But the converse and inverse are NOT NECESSARILY equivalent to
the other two. All four are equivalent if and only if the
original is a BIconditional, which is not the case here.]
