You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a football is kicked (in a vacuum) with an initial velocity of 7m/s at an angle of 35 degrees from the ground. How much time will the ball spend in flight?
------------
The vertical component of the speed is 7*sin(35)
----
Using h(t) = -4.9t^2 + v0*t = -4.9t^2 + 7*sin(35)t meters
It's a parabola, and the max height is the vertex, at t = -b/2a
t = 7*sin(35)/9.8 = sin(35)/1.4 seconds
The time descending = time ascending
Total flight time = sin(35)/0.7 =~ 0.8194 seconds
