.

Let x be the smaller of the two consecutive odd integers.

Then the larger of them is (x+2).

The equation

    x + 2 = 2x - 13

Simplify and solve

    2 + 13 = 2x - x

    x      = 15.

ANSWER. The numbers are 15 and 17.
