Question 116559: Can anybody help me slove this? I dont know how to break this down. It is my first time working with logrithms. I believe the 10 is the base and should appear to be smaller but I don't know how to indicate that typing. Sorry. I need help solving for x.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3log%2810%2C%28x%2B3%29%29=6 Start with the given equation

log%2810%2C%28x%2B3%29%29=2 Divide both sides by 3

10%5E%282%29=x%2B3 Rewrite the equation using the property: log%28b%2C%28x%29%29=y ====> b%5Ey=x

100=x%2B3 Evaluate 10%5E%282%29 to get 100

97=x Subtract 3 from both sides

So our answer is x=97
