You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x%5E2+12x = -13
To complete the square, you take half of the x-coefficient and square it to find the third term. Here 12 halved is 6, the square of which is 36. So that's the constant. Adding 36 to both sides we get:
x%5E2+12x+36 = 23
%28x%2B6%29%5E2 = 23
x+6 = sqrt%2823%29
x = + -sqrt%2823%29 - 6
