(1) 270 is 3 times 90; so the HCF of 90, 126, and 270 is the HCF of 90 and 126.
(2) As an alternative to the process used by the other tutor to find the HCF of two numbers, I prefer this method:
(a) make a fraction of the two numbers
(b) reduce to lowest terms
The HCF is the number you divided by to do the simplification.
The HCF is 18.
