Which cylindrical container do you talk about ?
Also, if the problem talks about a spherical ball, giving its diameter is just full information;
a correctly formulated Math problem should not define its radius, if the diameter is given.
Diagnosis: as the problem is worded, printed, posted and presented, it is a FAKE.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Length, width, and height of a cylinder? A cylinder may have EITHER a length OR a height, and a DIAMETER.
This standard squash ball will fit in a cylinder of diameter 4 cm and height 4 cm. No calculation should be necessary.
