Question 1164003: Hello, I would greatly appreciate some help with these questions,
22) Fidelity records the number of X-Trails sold each day. This data is used in calculating the following probability distribution of daily sales:
x P(x)
0 0.1
1 0.1
2 0.2
3 0.2
4 0.3
5 0.1
a. Verify that this [P(x)] is a probability distribution
b. Find the cumulative distribution function (cdf).
c. Find the probability that the number sold tomorrow will be between 2 and four (both inclusive)
d. Find the probability that the number sold tomorrow will be between 2 and four (inclusive)
e. Find the probability that the number sold tomorrow will be between 2 (inclusive) and four.
f. Show the results for c - e using the cdf only.
g. What is the number of X-Trails Nissan can expect to sell on any given day?
h. What is the standard deviation of X-Trails sold?
i. What is the coefficient of variation?
20) The probability of a bank customer defaulting on a loan is 0.04 if the economy is doing well (high) and 0.13 if the economy is not high. Suppose the probability that the economy is high is 0.65, what is the probability the customer will default on the loan?
5) The probability that a graduating student will get an offer for job A is 0.35 and the probability that this student will get an offer for job B is 0.20. If the probability of this student getting both job offers is 0.05, what is the probability that this student will get at least one of the two job offers?
Thanks much!
