Question 1163753: How many cubic feet of grain would an octagonal silo hold if itwere 12 feet tall and had a regular base with 10-foot edges?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The volume is the area of the base, multiplied by the height.
Look up (on the internet, or elsewhere) the formula for the area of a regular octagon in terms of the length of each side.
(Note, on the other hand, it would be a good exercise for you to derive that formula yourself. One way to start on that derivation is to view the regular octagon as a square with isosceles right triangles cut off each corner.)
Use that and the given height to find the volume.
