You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Kenny and Tony start running from the same place around a circular track of 300 meters in the same direction.
Kenny runs 6 meters per second, and Tony runs 4 meters per second.
When Kenny catches up with Tony the first time, how many meters has he run?
K is running 2 m/s faster than T
300/2 = 150 sec for K to lap T
150 * 6 = 900 meters K has run when he catches T
:
When he catches up with Tony the second time, Tony has run how many laps?
K takes 150 sec to lap T once, therefore, 300 sec to lap T twice
In 300 sec, T has run 300*4 = 1200 meters which is 1200/300 = 4 laps
