In their third game they scored 8 more points than the second. Now in their last game they scored three times as many points as their third. Altogether they scored 117 points!!! More concretely, the words "last game" are unclear.
Do these words "last game" mean "the 4-th game" ?
Or they mean something else ?

Unfortunately, some people think that Math problems are the same as puzzles, and formulate them carelessly.
But it is not so. They are two VERY DIFFERENT categories of problems.
In your school, you do not learn to solve puzzles, correct ?
I think that in your school your teachers teach you Math, not solving puzzles . . .
In short terms, the Math is what you learn in school to develop your mind.
The puzzles are those things that the comics show you from a scene / (from a stage) to entertain you.
