The time equation is


    300%2Fx - 300%2F%28x%2B5%29 = 3


Cancel factor 3 in both sides


    100%2Fx - 100%2F%28x%2B5%29 = 1.


Multiply both sides by x*(x+5).

Reduce to the standatd form quadraric equation.

Solve the quadratic equation by any way you want / you know / you like.


ANSWER.  Car B: 20 kph.  Car A: 25 kph.
