You can put this solution on YOUR website! A triangle has vertices J(-4,3), K(2,-3), and L(8,3). Find the equation of the line containing the median from vertex K --------------
 The median from K is to the midpoint of side JL.
 ---
 Find the x and y of the midpoint:
 For x: (-4+8)/2 = 2
 For y: (3+3)/3 = 3
 Midpoint is P(2,3)
 -----
 Find the slope of the line thru K & P
 Slope m = diffy/diffx
 m = (-3+3)/(2-2) = undefined, parallel to the y=axis
 ---> x = 2 is an equation of the line.
