Around what proportion of years had an annual rainfall of between 19
and 27 inches?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! at least 32 inches includes all of 34 to 38 (2) and some of 30 to 34, unknown, but 2.5 would be reasonable, so 2 or 3.
Around what proportion would be 4 out of 50 or 8%
10% would also be a reasonable answer, and 4% and 14% are possible
19 to 27 inches would be 11 from the 22 to 26 range plus most of the 18 to 22 inch group (3/4 since the range is 18 to 22, and 3/4 of 14 is 10.5. Can say 10.
26 to 30 includes 27 on average 25% of the Tim, so that would be 2.
A reasonable answer would be 23/50 or 46%, with some reasonable answers within 5% on either side.
