Question 1160457: Express the probability as a number
rounded to two decimal places. I don't get this, it does not make sense. Found 3 solutions by Edwin McCravy, ikleyn, AnlytcPhil:Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060) (Show Source):

No that is a question, exactly what I wrote is what the question is.

Then obviously what happened is that the instructions got separated or cut off
from the problems you were to answer, and you read (and posted) only the
instructions. Here is my guess at what happened: It was supposed to read
something like this:
Express the probability as a number
rounded to two decimal places.
(a) the probability of getting a head followed by 3 tails on the first four
tosses of a fair coin.
(b) the probability of drawing 3 face cards out of a standard deck of cards
without replacement.
But somehow the (a) and (b) got cut off from the instructions above it on your
computer or paper, and you thought that the instructions were all there was.
But there were some problems that followed the instructions, and you posted only
the instructions on algebra.com.
