You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2 (1/4)=9/4. Each day for the next 6 days, the amount increased by 1/4 hour
6*(1/4)=6/4
so next Saturday will bike 15/4 hours
Sam does (1/2)+6(1/2) for a total of 7/2 or 14/4 hours
Terri will bike (1/4) hour longer
Put fractions over a common denominator to compare them.
Multiplying an integer by a fraction works on the numerator, since an integer x is (x/1) and multiplying by 1 doesn't change a fraction.
