 if you let s = simone's age in t years, then your function is:

 s represents simone's age in t years.
 t represents the number of years from her current age.
 
 if t = 0, simone will be 14 + 0 = 14.
 if t = 1, simone will be 14 + 1 = 15.
 if t = 2, simone will be 14 + 2 = 16.
