You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A glass bowl in the shape of a sphere having a radius of 4 cm is filled with water to a depth of 3 cm. If the water flows out through a small hole in the bottom so that the level drops 2 cm,how much water has escaped?
-----------
Find the volume at a level of 3 cm, then subtract the volume at a level of 1 cm.
=========
There's a formula for the volume at a given level. We use it at work. I don't have it here, but I can get it tomorrow from an old CRC book.
You might find it online, too.
========
I could derive it, or do it by integration, but ...
============================
h = depth of the liquid, r = raidus = 4

Vol = %281%2F3%29%2Api%2Ah%5E2%2A%283r-h%29
