Please help me solve this equation: Log (15-5x)-1=(Log 3x-2)
----------
You should say "Solve for x."
------
Log (15-5x)-1=(Log 3x-2)
Assuming "common logs," base 10:
Log (15-5x)- log(10) = (Log 3x-2)
Log ((15-5x)/10) = (Log 3x-2)
(15-5x)/10 = 3x-2
15-5x = 10*(3x-2) = 30x - 20
35 = 35x
x = 1

log%28%2815-5x%29%29-1=+log%28%283x-2%29%29...it's log base 10
log%28%2815-5x%29%29-log%28%283x-2%29%29=+1
log%28%2815-5x%29%2F%283x-2%29%29=+1
log%285%283-x%29%2F%283x-2%29%29=+1.......log%2810%29=1
log%285%283-x%29%2F%283x-2%29%29=+log%2810%29....if log same, then
5%283-x%29%2F%283x-2%29=+10........solve for x
5%283-x%29=+10%283x-2%29.....simplify, both sides divide by 5
3-x=+2%283x-2%29
3-x=+6x-4
3%2B4=+6x%2Bx
7x=7
x=1
