You can put this solution on YOUR website! The perimeter of a triangle is 75 inches. One side of a triangle is 10 inches more than the second side. The third side is 5 inches more than twice the second side. Find 5he measure of each side
============
The sides are a, b & c
a is the shortest side.
-----
b = a+10
c = 2b + 5 ---> c = 2*(a+10) + 5
-----------------
a + b + c = 75
---
a + a+10 + 2a+25 = 75
etc
If you attentively read the problem, you will see that the equation is
a + (a+10) + (2a+5) = 75,
giving the answers a= 15 for the shortest side, a+10 = 25 for the middle side and 2*15+5 = 35 for the longest side.
