Question 1157717: Problem: Manny is mowing his yard. He wants to calculate the area that he needs to mow. He splits his yard into his front yard (question #1) and back yard (question #2). Work through the problems below to find the total area he needs to mow.

1) Find a polynomial that describes the area of the lawn which Manny has to mow in his front yard. The diagram shown below is his front yard. Note: There are not any obstructions in the front yard. Hint: The polynomial in your final answer should have three terms and must be completely simplified.
*The length of the shed is 4x + 11 and the width of the shed is 6x - 8*

2) Find a polynomial that describes the area of the lawn which Manny has to mow in his backyard. The diagram below represents his backyard. The green area is where he needs to mow. He will NOT mow through the shed (the orange rectangle). Hint 1: The area of the lawn is the area of the large rectangle minus the area of the smaller rectangle. Hint 2: The polynomial in your final answer should have three terms and must be completely simplified.
*The length of the BACKYARD is 9x - 5 and the width is 7x - 12*
The length of the SHED is 4x and the width of the shed is 2x + 5*
Find the total area that Manny needs to mow. Hint: Add the area from question #1 and #2 together to find the total area.

Using the expression in question #3, find the area of grass if x=17 ft.
*****Can you please help me and show me how you got these answers as thoroughly as possible. please I am struggling in this class and I've already failed it once thank you so much for your help
