What was the percent increase in population in Oceana from 1950 to 2000?
IN 1950 the population in Oceana was 12,000,000 people and in 2000 the total population was 32,000,000. How do I figure out the total increase from thoseyears to the nearest tenth of a percent??? I do not understand how to do this at all. Can someone tell me how it is done? Thank you.

Quantity increase = 32000000-12000000 = 20,000,000
-----------
Percent increase 20,000,000/12,000,000 = 1.6666666....
rounded = 166.7%
