You can put this solution on YOUR website! x hours on the bike for distance 31x miles.
6-x hours walking for distance 3(6-x) miles or 18-3x
those two, 31x and 18-3x, add to 144 miles
28x=126 miles. units are m/h*h=m
x=4.5 hours on the bike for 139.5 miles
6-x=1.5 hours walking for 4.5 miles
