You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Let "n" be the unknown number of items she bought.

Then the number of items she sold is (n-25).

The price she purchased each item was 2250%2Fn.

The price she sold each item was 2250%2F%28n-25%29.

The difference in prices per item is 1 dollar

    2250%2F%28n+-+25%29 - 2250%2Fn = 1.

Solve this equation to find n.

For it, multiply both sides of the equation by n*(n-25);  then simplify and reduce the equation to standard form;
then solve it EITHER using the quadratic function OR factoring (on your choice).

ANSWER.  n = 250.

CHECK.   2250%2F%28250-25%29 - 2250%2F250 = 10 - 9 = 1.    ! Correct !
