Marco is interested in whether Proposition P will be passed in the next election. He goes to the university library and takes a poll of 100 students. Since 58% favor Proposition P, Marco believes it will pass. Explain what is wrong with this approach.

The IT community may split in proportion 5:3 to any side.
 
 
Those who read "Washington post" may ignore voting.
 
 
And so on . . .  till infinity . . . 
 
 
Restaurant employees,  sales persons,  teachers,  engineers,  mechanics,  doctors,  nurses,  aged people after their 50-ies,  
those who have dogs and/or cats and who have no,  home-owners,  police officers,  firefighters,  veterans . . .
