2L+2W =84
w=3

        I came to bring a correct solution.

perimeter of rectangle = 2L + 2W

2L + 2W = 84

W = 3

2L + 6 = 84

2L = 84 - 6

2L = 78

L = 78/2

l = 39 feet.         ANSWER
