divide that by 100 to get the rate of .3333333333.....
multiply 204.13 by that to get 68.04333333......
round that to 2 decimal places to get 68.04
subtract that from 204.13 to get 136.09
the sale price is 136.09.
that should be your answer rounded to the nearest penny.
note that you divide the percent by 100 to get the rate and the rate is what you use in the calculations.
note also that .33333333..... is equal to 1/3.
1/3 multiplied by 204.13 is equal to 68.04 rounded to the nearest penny.
that is the discount.
the sale price is the regular price minus the discount.
