You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

(a) Since the hypotenuse is 8.5 cm and sinse the triangle is right and isoscels,

the legs are congruent and have the length of 8.5%2Fsqrt%282%29 cm each.

Therefore, the area of the right triangle at the base is %281%2F2%29%2A%288.5%2Fsqrt%282%29%29%2A%288.5%2Fsqrt%282%29%29 = %281%2F2%29%2A%28%288.5%2A8.5%29%2F2%29 = 8.5%5E2%2F4.

Hence, the volume of the prism is %288.5%5E2%2F4%29%2A12 = 3%2A8.5%5E2 = 216.75 cubic centimeters. ANSWER

(b) you just know each and every dimension of the prism.

Finding its surface area is just simple arithmetic.
