Question 1154232: Here is the multiple choice question:
Simplify ((−𝑥+1)/(x^2+3𝑥−4))*((8𝑥^2−4𝑥)/((𝑥−3)(𝑥+7))) and identify any restrictions on x
a. (3x^2+16x+16)/(x^2+3x-4), x<>-2/3
b. (3x^2-3x+4)/(-3x-2) x<>-3
c. (3x+4)/(3x+2), x<>-2/3
d. (3x+4)/(3x+2), x<>-2/3,-4,1
based on the restrictions on x, c must be the correct answer, but I can't figure out how to simplify to that expression. (Although I can't figure out why x <> -4, 3 or -7 as well)
Most obvious simplification is (-4x(2x-1))/((x+4)(x-3)(x+7)) but I don't know where to go from there to get any of the proposed solutions
