.
An English teacher needs to pick 10 books:

4 novels,
8 plays,
5 poetry books, and
5 nonfiction books
-----------------
total: 22 books

number of ways to choose 10 from 22
= C%2822%2C10%29=646646
what can't we have:
if she wants to include no more than 3 novels, we have
= C%284%2C3%29%2AC%2819%2C3%29
deduct of the number of ways = C%2822%2C10%29+-+C%284%2C3%29%2AC%2819%2C3%29+
= 646646+-+4%2A969
= 642770
or in scientific: 6.43%2A10%5E5+

After reading this post, I think that it is written  INCORRECTLY,  and in this form  DOES  NOT  represent any Math problem,

To become a Math problem,  it must be totally re-written.

The original text is  GIBBERISH  in its purest form,  and there is nothing to discuss around it.

Its only destination is to be thrown into the  GARBAGE  BOX  (and wash the hands after that (!) )

Also,  do not consider the post by @MathLover1 as something reasonable.

It is of the same degree of inadequacy,  as the given formulation itself.
