if the garden's perimeter is 178 feet, then
2%28L%2BW%29=178
L%2BW=178%2F2
L%2BW=89..........substitute L from eq.1
W%2B7%2BW=89
2W=89-7
2W=82
W=41 feet
go to
L=W%2B7.....eq.1, substitute W
L=41%2B7
L=48 feet

then, the area of the garden in square feet will be:
