So you need find "n" from the equation


    -2%2A%28-4%29%5E%28n-1%29 = 2048.


It gives


    %28-4%29%5E%28n-1%29 = 2048%2F%28-2%29 = -1024 = %28-4%29%5E5.


Hence,  n-1 = 5  and  n = 5+1 = 6.    ANSWER
