Question 1152015: Hello!! I need help with this problem, it is part of a graph.
I am supposed to:
Rewrite using the slope-intercept for
Then graph the inequality
And last find if the points (4, 4) satisfy the inequality

Using this equation
-1/2y-2=x-4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

-%281%2F2%29y-2=x-4....both sides multiply by 2 to get rid of fraction
-y-4=2x-8
-y=2x-8%2B4
-y=2x-4....both sides multiply by -1 to get y positive
y=-2x%2B4+=> the slope-intercept form

Then graph the inequality??? you have the equality
since you have linear equation, graph will be a line, you need two points

make table
x|y
0|4.......y=-2%2A0%2B4=4+
2|0.......0=-2x%2B4+=>2x=4=>x=2
plot these points and draw a line through

find if the points (4, 4) satisfy the equality

y=-2x%2B4+......if x=4 and y=4, we have
4=-2%2A4%2B4+
4=-8%2B4+
4=-4+=> false
so, the point (4, 4) does not satisfy the equality
