You can put this solution on YOUR website! x dimes
40-x quarters
x*0.10+(40-x)*0.25=.10x+10-.25x=3.60
so -0.15x=-6.4
x=42 2/3 which is non-integer
There is no way 40 dimes alone can be less than $3.60, let alone dimes and quarters of any number, at least the way I interpret the question.

With the given numbers, the problem HAS NO solution.
Also, who is Rob : "he" or "she" ?
-----------------
I am asking, because, according to the Internet, "The name Rob is a boy's name of English origin",
but the problem refers to "she" in its formulation.
