Question 1150753: Hi
Chocolate bars are made in the shape of a triangular prism. The base of the bar is a right angled isosceles triangle with 2 sides 3cm each. The chocolate to produce the bars is melted from a block with volume of 3600cm cubic. If chocolate from the block can make 400 bars what is the depth of each bar.

3600 cubic cm for 400 bars means 3600/400=9 cubic cm for each bar.
The area of the base of the prism is one-half base times height, which for a right triangle is one-half the product of the legs: (1/2)(3)(3) = 9/2 square cm.
The volume of a prism is the area of the base, times the height.
Pretty easy to finish from there to find the height of the bars....
