Very pathetic formulation to the question.
I'd say, toooooooo pathetic.

The sense of proportion is violated,  and too many excessive and unnecessary words are included to the question,  which is  BAD.

The usual form to formulate such question is

          If 85,000 were produced, find the probability that a particular calculator would be returned.


Solution
            Divide the smaller number by the larger.
That's all.
