But before we just multiply 12 X 156, let's look at the factors of those two numbers to see if we can find some perfect square factors.
12 = 2 X 2 X 3, and
156 = 2 X 2 X 3 X 13 (you should be checking my arithmetic, by the way)
So, 12 X 156 = 2 X 2 X 2 X 2 X 3 X 3 X 13, or 16 X 9 X 13
Now we can say
