You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Let "x" be the number of children; then the number of adults is (2000-x).

The money equation is

    3x + 6*(2000-x) = 8100.

From the equation, express "x" and calculate

    x = %288100-6%2A2000%29%2F%283+-+6%29 = 1300.

ANSWER.  1300 children  and  200-1300 = 700 adults.

CHECK.   1300*3 + 700*6 = 8100 dollars.   ! Correct !
