b = no. of black

If 75 yellow are removed, the total number of raisins left will be 6 times the number of yellow raisins left.
y + b - 75 = 6(y-75)
y + b - 75 = 6y - 450
y - 6y + b = -450 + 75
-5y + b = -375
b = 5y - 375
If 60 black raisins were removed, the total number of raisins left will be 3 times the number of yellow left.
y + b - 60 = 3y
b = 3y - y + 60
b = 2y + 60
replace b with (5y-375)
5y - 375 = 2y + 60
5y - 2y + 60 + 375
3y = 435
y = 435/3
y = 145 yellow raisins
then
b = 2(145) + 60
b = 350 black raisins
