Question 1146887: Points ( - 3, 2) and (1, 8) are endpoints of the diameter of a circle.
(a) What is the length of the diameter? Give the exact answer, simplified as much as possible.
(b) What is the center point C of the circle?
(c) Given the point C you found in part (b), state the point symmetric to C about the x-axis.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Points (-3,2) and (1,8) are endpoints of the diameter of a circle.
(a) What is the length of the diameter? Give the exact answer, simplified as much as possible.
It's the distance between the 2 points.

----------------
(b) What is the center point C of the circle?
The midpoint between the 2 points.
-------------
(c) Given the point C you found in part (b), state the point symmetric to C about the x-axis.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! So why do supposed tutors named MathTherapy not contribute anything to the forum. Tutoring is teaching.
This supposed tutor enjoys criticizing and offering answers but generally no work of his own. He is all EGO with a need for therapy!
I do not care at all what pseudo tutor MathTherapy thinks of me.
Tutor ikleyn and pseudo tutor MathTherapy let up on your criticism of JOSGARITHMETIC. It is acceptable to point out his errors but stop the personal attacks.
When criticizing tutor JOSGARITHMETIC, mathwhoneedstherapy has often just posted his supposed correct answers showing no work at all which is strictly forbidden by the owner of this website.
So I propose two things to return harmony to this website
1) that both you, tutor Ikleyn and pseudo tutor mathTherapy, let up on personal attacks against tutor JOSGARITHMETIC
2) that pseudo tutor MathTherapy, when he wants to correct tutor JOSGARITHMETIC errors, show his work.
Tutor Ikleyn, as you said, we all make mistakes.
BTW Years ago, there used to be a forum just for tutors but students got in and ruined it.

My post here is my reaction to the post by @richwmiller.
1) I was very surprised to see such a text.
Let me say from the very beginning that I, in opposite, consider the tutor @MathTherapy contribution as VERY important and very valuable.
We all make mistakes, sometimes, but every time I am sure that my mistake will be detected and noticed
by very accurate and reliable checker @MathTherapy.
I worked years at respected engineering companies in US on research projects, and it was common practice there that
the leading researcher (first pilot) makes steps ahead, while the second pilot checks every step.
Without such checking, re-checking, doubled checking and cross-checking, no one project could go outside the company to a consumer.
Having @MathTherapy as a potential checker, I can rely on him.
2) Not once and not twice @MathTherapy produced his own solutions.
3) We, the tutors, are just aged persons, and everybody of us can choose his own style and way on how to participate
and how to contribute.
I think that NOBODY of us is needed on advises on what to do and how to do.
4) Participation by tutor @MathTherapy is even more important, because there are "tutors" (or "tutor") here in the forum,
who contributes NEGATIVELY on the permanent basis, and whose negative "contributions" must be parry on everyday basis.
I hope that everybody among the tutors knows who is this person, so I will not call him by name.
5) My RESUME is as follows:
- tutor @MathTherapy is very respectful and significant member of our community;
- his contribution is valuable and is beyond question.
6) There is ONE MORE circumstance: it is the TONE of the @richwmiller post.
My view is that such a tone is NOT ALLOWED in communications between tutors.
Therefore, I propose to @richwmiller to ERASE his post IMMEDIATELY.
In response, I could promise, that, as soon as he ERASES his post, I will erase my.

Tutor IKLEYN: I never saw this UGLY TROLL'S comment as he hid it behind Alan's post. This LOWLIFE even erased one of my posts that I'd directed at JOSGARITHMETIC a few weeks ago.
I've had confrontations with this UGLY TROLL in the past, and I've gotten to realize that he's a RACIST, SEXIST, and is more than likely mad at the world, especially other people of other races.
Others (specifically students) have had run-ins with him and do acknowledge that he is nothing but a NASTY, most likely DEPRAVED individual who IRKS everyone, not only here in this forum, but around
him wherever his CAVE is located. He's definitely not worth anything in this form as he tries to run it as though he has any smarts at all to guide/inform anyone.
He's the one who offers absolutely nothing - ZERO, to this site - which has done much to teach me many things since I became part of it.
If you notice his responses, they are all NASTY and CHILDISH/NITPICKING posts that seem to increase his number of responses. He deserves to be IGNORED because when he wants to criticize someone for not
contributing to this forum, he needs to look at the person in the mirror. Then again, because of his grotesque appearance - external and internal, and attitude, he's most likely not able to. I can bet you
that even his mother, if he has one, HATES his guts.
I was hoping that he'd gone FOREVER when I didn't see him for a while, but the INSECT resurfaced. I hope one day he will DISAPPEAR and we won't have to deal with this IMMATURE and DEPRAVED CHILD, ever again!
Thank you, IKLEYN. If you hadn't responded I wouldn't have known that this RECLUSE was out for my "blood" again!!
