Question 1146635: A flight of stairs has 12 steps. David can go up for 2 step or 3 steps each time. How many way(s) is / are there for David to go up the stairs? Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060) (Show Source):
We have to know more information.
Must David always take either 2 steps or 3 steps, and never take just 1 step? Or
is taking just 1 step allowed?
He must get to the top of the steps. Does the top of the steps count as the
12th step or the 13th step?
