Use the distributive property to get rid of the parentheses. Remember BOTH terms inside the parentheses are multiplied by NEGATIVE 2.
Get all the terms containing the variable on one side and all the other terms on the other side.
Combine like terms on both sides.
Divide by 2 to get "x" by itself.
ANSWER: x=7
